all hail me [20 Apr 2008|09:27pm]
It was like a scene out of a Robert E. Howard novel.

One man, surrounded by six women, some in various states of dress, in his secluded fortress high in the wooded deep. Only instead of some barbarian warlord it was a kid out college, feet sticking out of the patchwork blankets on an old futon.

Faces peered in on the scene from the outside, eyes wide in wonder. Murmured whispers from one to the other as faces joined faced and bare footsteps came up the gravel road and climbed the stairs. Soon, a small flock of long-haired naturalists had gathered at the window to watch him sleep. The youngest of the watchers was sent to Narya to tell her of the news.

It was foretold that he would come.

a different point of view [12 Apr 2008|11:02pm]
One moment he'd been in one huge mess involving alternate Walters (who were HUGE!) and ... well, he didn't like to think that he'd seen himself, so 'Madrox' was quickly ignored by the brain. Much like the sudden transportation through time and space...

Though he had a good excuse. The fast-acting sedative had worked and knocked Jamie out cold, body now face down on the ground. Real ground, dirt, leaves, twigs, the works; wherever they were, it was wooded and cold, really cold. Eventually, the cold would wake Jamie up, arms slowly moving to push up from the dirt.

"... Walter?," Jamie asked and stopped. He sounded funny and his mouth felt weird.

i think we're alone now [03 Apr 2008|10:13pm]
Jamie skittered around a corner and banged on the wall a few times. More dupes scattered and Jamie continued on cautiously.

The more of him they had to find, the less likely chance they would find the first him and knock him out cold again. For like... the second time. "Yeesh," Jamie muttered under his breath, nearly well and goodly lost; through different eyes he could kind of get an idea of where he was, but where he was going was lost on him. He just had to find Walter and... and...

Find Walter and what?

Checking both ways, he thought he heard footsteps so he quickly ducked inside a broom closet and hid.

What to do, what to do....?

Interlude.... [29 Mar 2008|08:34pm]
Madrox in a lab coat stares at the screen.

Behind him an argument breaks out.

"Put it in the report-"

"No! No way! There is no reason to include 'snuggle time' in with the rest of the re-"

"You have to! It's valuable information."

"What, that they-"

"They're dependent on one another. Think about that. Think about how this can be used-"

"Oh my god, I can't believe-"

"It makes a degree of sense," says Madrox in a lab coat, rubbing his forehead while the two dupes behind him stop. "They've both gone through some stressful situations and I'm sure we haven't helped in the slightest. Of course they're going to cling to the only thing in their lives that's a constant as a source of comfort."

"With their lips?," blurts out a Madrox behind him.

The other two Madroxes sighed and the one in the lab coat pinches at the bridge of his nose. "I'm not putting it in the report."

"But-"

"No."

The room was silent and all three watched the two targets huddle together under a blanket for wamth, comfort and something else. Something else Madrox knew a little too well.

"God, Langowski?," said a Madrox as he headed for the door.

"Awkward," said the other Madrox in a sing-songy tone and soon, the two had left.

Madrox in a lab coat took a sip of coffee and continued his vigil.

come nightfall... [24 Mar 2008|03:22pm]
Come morning, they'd be outfitted with equipment and given orders to find these Exiles and do whatever it was that needed to be done. Madrox wasn't exactly thrilled with Dr. Langowski's methods of coercion, but it did get the job done. In honor of their cooperation, there was a small 15" TV wheeled in on a little plastic tray that got basic cable. There was also a plain white outfit, similar to Walters, that included a pair of pants.

"I think we're babying them," said Madrox, munching on a bag of chips from where Madrox in a lab coat had been monitoring the two in their cell.

"I think it'll be interesting to see how they interact," said Madrox in a lab coat, taking a cup of coffee from his dupe.

Like a Scene in a Movie... [11 Mar 2008|12:20am]
It's a small room, with a big mirror on one wall, the others solid cement. There's a wooden table about as long as Walter is tall with a simple chair on one end for him to sit at. A couple florescent lights brighten up the room from the ceiling.

At the other end of the table are two identical men. Both are dark haired, both have the same dark eyes, both even wear the same green t-shirt, blue jeans and sneakers. One of them has on a long dark coat, the other one sits in front of a pencil and a piece of paper. There's a glass of water on their side.

The one in the coat paces back and forth, obviously agitated, but it's the one in the chair who speaks first. "So... you're Walter Langowski- sorry about that unfortunate last name, by the way, grade school must have been a bummer," he adds and is quickly interrupted by the man behind him.

"What are you doing messing around with time and space?!"

The sitting Madrox puts his head to his hand. "Or we can just be direct about this..."

I'm bewildered/resentful for we're strangers when we meet [03 Mar 2008|07:28pm]
Madrox was outside on Bluetooth with this superiors while the rest of him handled the cargo. He gave the chopper pilot a little wave. "But Vaaaaaal!," he whined. "It's on our side of the border! It's Homeland Security! We've got the two and contained them, open, shut, done! Department H doesn't-... Well, I don't like him. He's smelly. He's going to want to listen to Celine Dion on the way back. Sure, put it in your log, Val! Madrox out."

He sighed and sort of stomped his feet a bit like a kid without the toy he wanted, but pulled himself together by the time the bodies were tagged and bagged, heading into the helicopter. "Two kids, that's it," he sighed. "No tech, no tricks, just a couple of frat boys going for a multi-dimensional joyride..."

He shrugs, "I'd do it."

A sigh, Madrox had the last of the SWAT guys clean up the house, absorbing them all back into himself as he walked back inside. "Congradulations, Dr. Langkowski! Your consolation prise is a ride back to Washington DC!" He mimicked a crowd sound to the delight of himself.

Where Do We Go Now? [22 Jan 2008|08:44pm]
Jamie wasn't sure what to expect next. He just sort of saw it all through a filter, like an out of body experience which was silly because there were so many bodies he did inhabit that one always got a vague sense of deja vu. At least when it all began.

Why was he thinking about that? Out of the multitude of thoughts that could have run through his brain, why did he go back to the beginning? Now was far more important, with that slow pulled in feeling as if everything had gone two dimensional and you were being pressed through the panels of a comic book. Jamie couldn't breathe for a moment as time passed through him to solidify on the other side of somewhere else.
